Support Evan’s Fight Against Cancer – Again
Just one year ago, Evan proudly rang the bell after receiving the “all clear” from his first battle with cancer in his head and neck. After months of treatment and determination, he was finally in remission and ready to move forward with life.
But earlier this year, Evan began to experience unexplained and worsening back pain. Despite months of tests, scans, and multiple doctor visits, no clear answers came until late September when his symptoms became severe. Within days, Evan lost the ability to move his lower body. An MRI confirmed everyone’s worst fear: the cancer had returned and spread to his spine.
Evan has since undergone emergency radiation and continues to face extensive treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy to try to stop the cancer from growing and, hopefully, to shrink it. He remains immobile and is working closely with his care team and rehabilitation specialists to regain strength and mobility.
Beyond his personal battle, Evan is someone who consistently shows up for others. He volunteers his time on the board of the Walden Ringette Association, supporting local athletes and families in his community. Earlier this year, he also stood shoulder to shoulder with his co-workers and colleagues during the seven-week WSIB lockout, offering solidarity and encouragement when it was needed most.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
This sudden and devastating turn has taken a huge toll- physically, emotionally, and financially. Evan and his family are now navigating hospital stays, ongoing treatments, and the challenge of making their home accessible for when he can return.
Your donation will help ease the financial burden of medical costs, rehabilitation, travel for specialized treatments, and home modifications. Every contribution , big or small, helps this incredible family focus on what matters most: Evan’s recovery and time together.
Evan has faced every battle with courage, selflessness, and heart. Let’s rally behind him the same way he has always supported others …with strength, compassion, and community.
