Gru's surgery
Donation protected
After a really successful surgery, Gru's cancer came back. He's still really lively and loves to play with his squeaky balls. This rounds estimate for care is 11-13.5k. He's at the point of costing more than a nice, brand new car. On the 29th, he gets a CT scan to ensure it's removable and then he goes in for surgery on the 30th. Liver cancer is unfortunately quickly fatal if it isn't removed. Since he still has a lot of life left in him, I don't want this to be the reason he has to go.
Hey there. As many of you know, Gru had a seizure in November. We went to Midtown Animal Hospital had bloodwork done, went back a month later to do bloodwork again and it got worse instead of better. Next step was the ultrasound which found a mass at the center of his liver displacing his gallbladder. It's about 3inches in all directions. They did an ultrasound guided biopsy which was inconclusive and recommended removal. We are lucky there's a clinical trial going on at UCD. They're contributing to a lot of different things by him participating, but it's still really expensive. I spent $2165.95 at midtown animal hospital since the end of November. UCD is going to cost another $7.5k-9.5k. I asked about the different grants people mentioned and they don't have any according to the vet. So I'm looking at $9.6-11.6k total to get Gru healthy again. A few people have asked me to create a GoFundMe so they can contribute. If you're interested in helping, anything helps.
Edit - Gru's liver cancer surgery went great but he had another seizure so he's back at UCD but in neurology. With the additional bills, his care has come to 14k.
