Grupa Ceoil Beag is a 14 member Traditional Irish band comprised of students from Acadamh Ceoil Derry, CCE Craobh Doire, and schools in Claudy. The band was created by multi-instrumentalist Paul Cutliffe and helped along with NWFC Marty Coyle, Our band members are aged 10 to 17, they play Harp, Concertina, Fiddle, Banjo, Guitar, Whistle, Flute, Bodhran and the Irish Pipe! We also have some amazing singers!! Some members are country Fleadh winners, others performed in musicals on stage!! Together we are Grupa Beag Ceoil and we proudly represent Derry City where ever we play.

We have played many venues such as the Mela Festival Belfast, Guildhall Gig Rig Halloween, and the City of Derry Jazz Festival with our special mix of Trad and Jazz!!

Our Band has just been selected to compete in the prestigious Celtic Connections Festival and competitions at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow!! Competitions will be live broadcast on www.celticmusicradio.com 5FM in Glasgow and DAB in Northern Ireland on the internet for everyone else.

We are hoping the people of Derry , County Derry and all Trad Music supporters in Ireland will get behind Grupa Ceoil Beag to get our 14 members and Chaperones to Glasgow so we can represent Derry/County Derry!
