Grumpy's long road to recovery
Donation protected
One of our brothers, specifically Chapter 34-5's Senior Road Captain was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Stacey "Grumpy" Keffer has sustained serious injuries due to a car turning left in front of him. The driver didnt see him, she did however see the phone and the side road she couldnt get to fast enough. This decision has changed the lives of Grumpy and his family forever.
Grumpy was on his way to help a Veteran rebuild the back room at their house when the accident occured. He is the Grumpiest kind hearted person you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Some of you know him better than others as he is at every function the CVMA has whether its a meeting or a working party. Plus hes Grumpy and leaves a lasting impression of what a true brother is. He had just instituted a policy a few weeks earlier to ensure that if anyone in our Chapter had a major accident that we could handle that scene and save lives.
He is currently in the hospital and is stable at this point, but the road is going to be long and hard for him, not to mention very taxing on the family. He has many broken bones which will need surgery to repair and rebuild and im not even referring to the many surgeries hes already had just to stabilze him at this point. Along with those repairs comes the many months of physical therapy before he will even be mobile again.
34-5's chapter family is doing everything we can to help support those unforeseen side costs while Grumpys family focuses on being next to him while he recovers. Please consider helping this amazing brother and his family out.
