I am an 81 year old woman who started Growing Tree School in 2010 after retiring as a teacher from the UK. It is a small primary school based in Dansoman, Accra, Ghana. We currently have almost 100 hundred students. The school caters for children age 6 months to 11 years old. Dansoman is a vibrant community however, many of our students come from low income families and are able to make ends meet. I am extremely passionate about education and so this means we keep our school fees low to enable as many families as possible to access excellent education for their children. We have a small building as we cannot afford to buy a bigger building and offer separate classrooms such as an IT lab. As our fees are lower we also cannot afford to invest in modern equipment such as Laptops.
Please support my fundraising campaign to buy 16 laptops for our school. Laptops are essential tools for modern education, as they will allow our students to access online resources, develop digital skills, and collaborate with their peers. However, our school currently does not have any laptops to meet the needs of our students and teachers. We need to raise £2,400 to buy 16 laptops, which will benefit all of our classes from Reception to Year 6.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference for our children's education and future.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make Growing Tree Primary School a better place for learning and growing.
