Hi, my name is Jamey, and I am a Junior in High School and an active member of FFA working toward completing my SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) lamb project. I’m raising funds to cover the cost of my project, which totals $4,000, including purchasing the 2 lambs, feed, veterinary care, equipment, show expenses, and more.

This project is more than just raising an animal—it’s an opportunity to learn responsibility, leadership, financial management, and real-world agricultural skills. Through FFA and my SAE, I’m gaining hands-on experience that will help prepare me for future education and a career in agriculture.

This project means much more to me than just raising an animal. Being involved in FFA and caring for my lamb gives me a strong sense of purpose, responsibility, and routine, which has been incredibly important for my mental health and emotional balance. Working with animals helps reduce stress, improves my focus, and gives me something positive to work toward each day. It provides stability during difficult times and allows me to channel my energy into something productive and meaningful.

I also have an extremely strong passion for agriculture and animal care, and my long-term goal is to become a large animal veterinarian. Through this SAE project, I am gaining hands-on experience with animal health, daily care, nutrition, and responsibility—skills that directly relate to my future career. Working closely with my lamb helps me better understand animal behavior and well-being, and it gives me valuable experience that will benefit me greatly as I pursue veterinary school and a career in animal medicine.

However, coming from a family that is struggling financially, covering these costs on my own is extremely difficult. I am highly motivated to be involved in FFA and committed to putting in the hard work required, but I need help getting started. Your donation would directly support an FFA student who is eager to learn, grow, and succeed despite financial challenges.
