At La Grange Elementary in eastern North Carolina, our students face significant economic challenges, but their potential to grow and learn is limitless. As a Title I school where 100% of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch, we're committed to providing enriching educational experiences that can change lives. We're seeking to build a greenhouse that will serve all of our K-5 students, creating hands-on learning opportunities while addressing food security in our community.
As the school's Digital Learning Specialist and Testing coordinator, I work side by side with teachers and students to maximize learning. The use of this greenhouse always for another avenue to maximize their learning through hands on activities. Once the fundraiser is complete, I will purchase all of the items needed and have 4 volunteers ready to assemble the greenhouse, as well as a plumber who is ready to assist with installation. Our village of parents and community members are always ready to lend a hand to benefit our students.
