Last year we made history, the NHL even covered our story.
A group of Peruvians, from the US, Canada and Peru itself, came together to represent our country at the LATAM Cup 2025 in Florida. We have never done anything like that before, and we finished with the Silver medal!.
This year, we’re going back.
This August over 40 players are flying in from 4 countries to once again wear the Peruvian flag on their chest and compete at the LATAM Cup 2026 – one of the premier Latin American ice hockey tournaments. We are the APHHL (the Asociación Peruana de Hockey sobre Hielo y Línea) and we are building something that has never existed before: a real competitive Peruvian hockey program.
Why this matters beyond the tournament.
Hockey in Peru is growing, both on roller and on ice. There is a small local rink in Lima, local players are developing, and the sport is slowly building a community back home. But it needs momentum and that is what this international competition provides.
Most of our players discovered the sport outside of Peru but some have learned the sport back in Peru. Every time we compete on an international stage, we send the story back home that this sport belongs to all of us.
Where does your money go?
Tournament fees: $3,300
Rent ice time for team practices: $1,000
Luggage (goalie and sticks bags): $400
Drinks (gatorade, water) for the team: $250
Tapes and other necessary hockey equipment: $200
Building infrastructures in Peru for roller and ice hockey (boards, net, etc.): $15,000
What we’re asking
We are not yet affiliated to an International federation like IIHF or World Skate, so we have to grow with sponsors and volunteers. We are a group of proud Peruvians who love this sport and love our country. Every dollar donated goes directly toward making international participation possible and growing the game back home.
Help us get back on the ice. Help us represent Peru
