What is The Crochet Cove?
The Crochet Cove is where luxury yarn fibers meet the celebration of color - a one-woman operation providing one-of-a-kind, hand-dyed, color stories and palettes from the depths of her creative mind. Nia Miles’ talent to see a yarn project’s future in vivid colors before it is made is her sixth sense, and with your help, that sense could be enhanced for even more textile artists to enjoy!
The Crochet Cove began from a simple “light bulb!” moment during a fun night of painting with her three kids. Before she knew it, the first blank skeins of yarn and dye kit arrived, and the color recipes were drafted in notebooks. What began as an experiment in 2019 became what it is known as today, offering hand-dyed, luxury yarn delivered to your doorstep.
The Crochet Cove’s goal to provide the very best to her customers has now reached a point where we want to include YOUR support. Ultimately, Nia aims to open a storefront where customers can come and experience the fibers firsthand.
What’s The Crochet Cove asking from you?
The Crochet Cove plans to use a large portion of the funds to boost marketing efforts through Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns. Additionally, some funds will go towards optimizing the website. We hope to raise funds to prepare for open market events and purchase raw materials. With your help, The Crochet Cove can showcase our products at the following fiber and craft shows:
- The Silver Spring Arts & Crafts Fair (Silver Spring, MD) - July 2022
- Around the World Cultural Festival (Alexandria, VA) - August 2022
- Kings County Fiber Festival (Brooklyn, NY)- October 2022
- Frederick FiberFest (Frederick, MD) - October 2022
- Maryland Alpaca & Fleece Festival (West Friendship, MD) - November 2022
In our original campaign, we included expanding our infrastructure, but with the success of this fundraiser and attendance at these shows, we believe we will generate the resources necessary to grow through the ordinary course of business.
