Sadly on Monday 14th November we lost a beautiful lady known & loved by so many, Vicki Groves-berry was the dearly loved wife of Andrew and adored mum to Madison & Oscar.
Vicki fought the most courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer over the past 3yrs. Her determination to beat this diagnosis was beyond amazing, always in the back of her mind was her family and friends, she was always thinking of others over herself, along with Vicki's battle the family had extra stress as Oscar had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy before Vicki's diagnosis - Oscars increasing health & well being requirements, combined with Vicki's battle added so much pressure for the family, Andrew has been primary carer to both Vicki & Oscar and this has made it virtually impossible for him to hold a normal job, his strength & courage has been phenomenal, all he has ever wanted was to provide the best for his family.
My promise to Vicki when I had to say my last goodbye was that I along with others would make sure the family was ok after she was gone. We would be there for them to help them through this heartbreaking time and support them how we can.
In lieu of flowers (at the family's request), I have started this go fund me page to try and make life just that little bit easier for the family.
