Many of you may know Grover Poindexter through Alex Smith Garden Design, Ltd. Grover, who studied horticulture in Virginia moved to Atlanta many years ago to work for Alex.
Five years ago, Grover launched his own landscaping business. I was his first client and have grown to love and respect him.
Two weeks ago, Grover woke up in the middle of the night to someone trying to steal his landscape trailer. When he ran outside to try to stop the thief from taking his livelihood, the thief ran over him with his van. Grover was rushed to Grady where they saved his life. His leg was crushed, all but two ribs were broken, and he had road rash over his entire body where the van dragged him along the pavement. Since then, Grover has had several surgeries including a rod placed in his femur, a plate in his ankle, and tubes inserted into his lungs to prevent them from collapsing. He has begun the long road to healing his body and his mind. Needless to say, Grover could use some help right now and in the months ahead. Unable to work, Grover has no way to pay his medical bills, rent or ongoing expenses.
For those of you who know Grover this will be an easy ask. It will resonate when I mention his sweet nature, his work ethic, his honesty and integrity, his strong faith and his smile that could light up a stadium!
For those of you who don’t know him, I am asking that you consider making a donation because your dollars will go to helping a wonderful and extremely deserving person. I know each of us support so many great causes, but this is an opportunity to have your investment go directly to help lift up someone who is going through an extremely rough time in their life. Thank you for your consideration and please share Grover’s story on your social media to reach as many donors as possible.
