Grover Needs Surgery

Donation protected

Grover, a 6-year-old English yellow Labrador, fell off a steep ledge while playing and swimming in a nearby river.  This unfortunate fall injured his right rear leg (hock joint).

After immediate icing and a couple rounds of pain medications and cortisone shots, Grover’s limp and swelling on his right rear leg has not gotten any better.  Rather, it has gotten progressively worse with time.

Grover recently visited a veterinary orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating such injuries.  They recommended for him to have surgery to repair the damage to his right rear leg.  This crucial surgery is intended to heal the current damage and to keep his condition from worsening over time.  The surgery and subsequent post-operative care during the first month of recovery will cost over $8,500.

While positive “thoughts and prayers” are always welcome, the reality is that the wellbeing of Grover’s leg and his future ability to walk correctly can only be helped by this very expensive surgery.  Grover is a brave and strong little boy, so he can make it through this difficult ordeal.  He just needs some assistance from you and others who care, with paying for this necessary surgical procedure.

Grover would appreciate your donation to help with his medical costs.  He is still active, happy, and has many years of playful frolicking ahead of him.  Please help give Grover a “leg up” for his future.

Thanks for whatever you can do to help financially!
