Help Support Flight Attendant Lynn Cooke’s Recovery

Our dear friend and longtime flight attendant Lynn Cooke, who’s been working in aviation since 1994 on the ramp and flying since 1995; recently suffered a serious stroke. Early last Tuesday, she got up to use the restroom and collapsed, unable to call for help. Thankfully, her loyal dog was by her side and barked loud enough to wake her husband, likely saving her life.

She was rushed to the hospital and airlifted to a trauma center, where doctors acted quickly to remove two blood clots from her brain. The stroke has impacted the left side of her body, and she now faces a long road to recovery in rehab. Doctors estimate it could take 3 to 6 months—or more—before she can return to work.

Lynn is one of the kindest and most generous people we know. She’s always stepped up to help others quietly, without asking for anything in return. She loves her job, her crew, her animals, and cheering for the Cowboys and Rangers.

She flies high time as a regional flight attendant, and while she does have some disability income, it only covers part of what she normally earns—without per diem or full pay, she’s facing a significant financial gap during a critical time in her life.
