Fund Ground-breaking treatment for Joseph!

Donation protected
Joseph’s journey through terminal cancer has been eased by the rallying of family and friends; but now, more than ever, we need your support to go beyond the basic NHS treatment and fund ground-breaking Immunotherapy for him, his family and their future together.

His partner, Thea and baby Tao rely on him, as a loving husband and father- and hope many can gather to help:

After enduring the standard chemo and radiotherapy, and surgery to remove a tumour on the brain, the over-stretched NHS have already exhausted all their means of extending Joseph’s life. But there is very real hope, and no one is giving up. Immunotherapy is a ground-breaking treatment recommended by Care Oncology Clinic and—if accessed—could alter the course of this young man’s life. This brand-new approach ‘teaches’ the immune system to seek out and challenge cancer cells; it greatly improves survival outcomes, especially in younger and otherwise healthy people—someone just like Joseph.

Next stop: Germany. Unfortunately, Immunotherapy isn’t available in the UK, and Germany is one of the few countries with approved bio-medical centres offering the private,tailor-made treatment. Embarking on this life-saving trip will be expensive, so if you can, we ask you to chip in and make sure that Joseph can receive the specialist help he desperately needs. Your contribution may be a profound offering of time — for Joseph to spend with his young family who love him dearly.

Joseph with all the children:

Background
Joseph is a new dad to little one-year-old Tao, and stepdad to 3 other children, with his partner Thea. They live together in Stroud, Gloucestershire and have had their worlds shaken by the devastating diagnosis.

Joseph with Tao:

Just a few months ago, Joseph woke up one morning barely able to life his right leg. At worst, he thought it may be the result of a herniated disc, or even early MS. A visit to the hospital and an MRI scan led to the discovery of a brain tumour and a diagnosis of grade IV Astrocytoma. UK Doctors have declared this a terminal case, but we know that the road less travelled presents a truly viable solution.

We initially fundraised for living costs; Joseph and Thea are both hardworking self-employed people under the pressure of a new and frightening problem and the loss of income that goes along with it. Our previous fundraiser was intended to cover costs incurred for hospital visits and covering complementary therapies.
