Groot our furbaby bloated this morning and had to be rushed to the emergency hospital. He was anesthetized and a stomach tube has to be passed twice to decompress his stomach. We were very lucky his stomach had not twisted or he would have had to have emergency surgery or he would have died.  However, we are not out of the woods. Groot now has developed aspiration pneumonia and is in ICU at the emergency and specialty hospital. Pneumonia has the possibilty of becoming septic (massive infection that goes into blood stream). He is on IV fluids and meds and after recovering will have to have surgery to "tack" his stomach because this can and will reoccur without intervention. This is an expensive journey that I am not prepared for. Any little bit helps. Tiny, Robbie, and I love our big lemon and are not ready to give up. We are asking for help and every little bit matters. I am signing up for overtime and anything I can do but I still cant cover it all nor the next steps.
