Boris and Gromit Need Your Help!
I have two amazing dogs, Boris (a female Miniature Dachshund, 11) and Gromit (a male Shih Tzu, 14). They are best buddies and I have had them both since they were puppies. They're also both a little insane, but that's encouraged around here.
On June 26th, I found out that Boris needed a pacemaker! The vet assured me that he wouldn't recommend the surgery unless he felt that she was otherwise healthy and that she would be able to live for years to come once the pacemaker was installed. However, without the pacemaker, she would most likely die very soon, and suddenly. I opted to go through with the surgery, which was successful, and was able to bring Boris home, already much more like her old self, on June 28th.
Meanwhile....
Gromit must have felt that Boris was hogging the limelight with her medical emergency, so he created one of his own. On Friday night while Boris was in the hospital, Gromit fell off the couch and broke his jaw (I explained that he is insane). As it turns out, in order for him to be able to chew properly he'll now need surgery to repair his jaw.
Bills, Bills, Bills
As you can imagine, the bills for both dogs' medical care for these ailments have piled up very quickly and follow-up care will not be inexpensive. I have a job I love but I don't make a lot of money, so if you have the ability to contribute ANYTHING, the dogs and I will be forever grateful!
