I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your donations! I was able to get food and pay down some creditors with your help!

For those of you that don't know what was going on, my family moved out and moved in with other family members and I stayed behind. Full rent landed on me which swallows up more than half of my SSDI checks, leaving me with barely enough to cover utilities and neccessities for myself and Monkey, my cat. Currently I have applied for assistance with housing via Section 8 vouchers and other income based programs so I can get a smaller cheaper apartment. Wait list for those is 6 months to a year. I'm praying and hoping my current landlord doesn't raise the rent and continues to be patient with me as I try to navigate these rough times. This week I am also establishing debt consolidation for my creditors. This is much preferred over claiming Chapter 7 bankruptcy as it will be easier to re-establish my credit.

Unfortunately another situation has arisen it's head and that is our wonderful Trump administration has taken upon itself to shut down our Food Share Snap benefits. As a result from this I am leaving this gofundme up for a little while longer. I had planned on closing it down until the news about our SNAP benefits ended that idea. I am working also with Community Care and there are other options available to me, Meals on Wheels and programs like that.
