Griselda's Daughters lay her to rest
Donation protected
Hi and thank you for clicking on why I am raising funds today. I'm Jose and I would like to share a little about Griselda Guardado.
Griselda Guardado, amazing soul, mother, sister, second mom to all (including myself) and daughter. The mom that welcomed all and I mean all. Griselda was the very first mother figure that accepted me for being gay. Welcomed me with open arms, without judgment on my shenanigans throughout the years and always offered me the best advice.
She loved her daughters, her grandchildren, even her adopted children (all of whom became an extension of her family). 2004, Griselda was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver, even though she did not drink alcohol. Griselda worked with The American Liver Foundation as a Cirrhosis Liver survivor and Advocate Speaker. Speed through to January 2023, while at her appointment for liver disease, she received the news that we all fear, "Griselda, you have been diagnosed with liver cancer". Even after being diagnosed with liver cancer, Griselda maintained her optimistic attitude. After each visit, we learned that the cancer was aggressive and was spreading quickly. Unfortunately, she was not a candidate for a liver transplant because of the mass of cancer.
Griselda took her final breath on Saturday, April 8th, 2023.
I ask for assistance so that her 3 daughters (Stephanie, Jessica and Stacey), and her 4 grandchildren (Derrick, Felipe, Bryanna, and Andrew) can lay their mother, and grandmother to rest and assist with other expenses incurred when these unexpected life-changing events occur.
Fly high, through the universe and galaxies "My Darlin'"
