Support Griselda medical expenses: strokes & heart operation

Family and Friends,

With heavy hearts, we share that our beautiful sister, daughter, best friend and mom, Gee Cortez, suffered a devastating stroke on March 20th, followed by multiple strokes around April 18th. After doctors discovered a mass—a myxoma—on her heart, she underwent emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and Gee recently opened her eyes again.

Though she is awake, the strokes have deeply affected her ability to move and speak. She remains in the hospital, surrounded by love, but her road to recovery will be long and uncertain.

Anyone who knows Gee knows her smile, the strength of her spirit, and how deeply she loves those around her. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
