Gris Gris Lady Conjure Business Startup

Hi :) My name is Cam, and I am officially in the process of starting up my spiritual business, Gris Gris Lady Conjure.

My business and passion is directly influenced by my roots. I am a very proud, queer, New Orleans native and I come from Louisiana Creole culture. Although I was raised a Southern Baptist, since childhood I was exposed to other religions outside of Christianity, specifically Voudou and other African spiritual traditions. Voudou is inherently intertwined with New Orleans culture, and this is clearly seen within the African American communities.

Voudou is a religion of self and communal healing, spiritual ascension, and maintaining balanced energy within yourself and in life. I have been practicing Hoodoo and Voudou for years, using my own ancestral knowledge to heal myself and bring blessings into my life. Over the years of practicing the healing arts, I’ve come to a point in life where I’ve realized I want to share my spiritual gifts and passion with others. My goal is to provide holistic, accessible, spiritual services and tools for my community.

I will be providing a plethora of services and products, some of which include:

I started this GoFundMe with the intention to finally start my dream business with the help of my community. I will be purchasing fresh bulk herbs, carrier oils and essential oils, resins, website construction, packaging, candles, and all other supplies and branding/marketing needed to create my products.

I personally do not qualify for any government aid during this tough time of COVID-19, and my own personal funds go largely into life essentials such as food, gas, bills, etc. Im in the process of finding somewhere to live and it has been extremely hard to save. Especially without government assistance and a job since being laid off due to the virus. I have managed to buy some of the herbs and supplies I need on my own, but it is not nearly enough. I hope to use Gris Gris Lady Conjure as a way to sustain myself through this tough time, as well as a way to give back to the community who made me who I am.
