In September 2015 I set out from my brother's Vancouver garage with a bicycle and absolutely no idea what I was doing. None. I didn't know how far I would be able to ride that day, or the next day, or the day after that. Or where I would sleep on any of those nights. Or if I would even like it. I had never ridden a bicycle further than 10km. I just wanted to go. And so I went, thinking I'd be lucky to reach California. Maybe Mexico. 

    I didn't think that nine months later I'd be sitting in Panama City, on the heels of a whirlwind ride through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. I didn't think that I would be completely head over heels with this new way I'd found to see the world. And I certainly didn't think that I'd be considering riding to the bottom of South America and the fabled finale of the Panamerican highway: Tierra del Fuego.

      It's a bigger challenge than anything I've faced up to this point: 13,000 km, more desolate and mountainous, up and over the Andes and through Patagonia. But I'm game. It isn't a matter of desire. It's a matter of whether I'll have the funds to hack it. So, this is my appeal.

     If you have a little cash to spare, and don't mind kicking some of it toward this adventure, it would be absolutely enormous.
