On November 11, our girl Kayla Iles went to the ER with severe abdominal pain and has been in the ICU at Grady ever since. At the creation of this fundraiser, she has been away from home—and her two daughters—for 26 days as of December 6th.

Kayla is the strongest, kindest, most vibrant woman you could know, and if you know her—you know she doesn’t like to ask for help.

Right now, she needs it.

Kayla has had an extremely rough and arduous hospitalization that has lead to major abdominal surgery. Few answers or diagnoses have been available. Surgery is taking place today 12.06 and will require a lengthy recovery. Recovery will be a minimum of an additional week of hospitalization, making it over a month inside. Followed by months of intensive home care.

We created this fund to help support Kayla and her family, especially shown some extra love to her girls. Kayla spent thanksgiving in the ICU but is looking forward to spending the Christmas holiday at home with her girls and family. We would like to take some of the stress of Christmas preparations, shopping, wrapping, etc. We’re planning on purchasing some gifts for the girls, wrapping and delivering everything to their home. This will help Kayla and family to be able to focus on what’s most important, healing in the loving embrace of family and friends.
