Grimmlok agrees that 2020 has been *ruff*.
As you may know, Grimm recently ruptured his CCL in his left knee - he also has a partial tear in his right knee, and it's only a matter of time until it fully tears. Right now he can barely move around on his own. We purchased a very expensive harness in order to assist him when he needs to relieve himself/move around, but the only option to repair his knees and return him to the "normal" adventure-loving dog he is, is a very, very expensive surgery called TPLO. Grimm needs this surgery on both knees.
Without the surgeries his knees will deteriorate and his quality of life will be a sliver of what it once was. Grimm loves to swim in alpine lakes, show off his skills as "branch manager," chase balls 'till the sun goes down, dig for snowballs in fluffy powder and without these surgeries he will never be able to do these things again.
He has had a chronic issue with his right knee since April. Immediately after the diagnosis Grimm was in a bike accident. We were biking in town, following traffic laws in a roundabout when a man passed us. Grimm was in a bike-drawn cart, it flipped and he broke his canine tooth on the pavement. The man in the car never stopped. We had to have the tooth extracted - it was a long, expensive process.
Fast forward, his right knee seemed to be improving, but it was inconsistent. After months of compensating with his left leg that ligament ruptured. He's now fully reliant on his partially-functioning leg.
Grimmlok is only four years old. He is my baby, my adventure buddy, my number one pal. He has been here for me through some of the most difficult and darkest times in my life.
I know this is a difficult time to ask people for money, and I understand not everyone can help but I figured it's worth a shot.
Please, if you can help at all- no matter the amount, even just to share this page - it will mean the world to us.
Thank you so much.
