My name is Tan, and I am co-producing a Grad Slate Film titled $WAGAPINO, a Filipino teen who has to battle these eshays to get the bayleaf for his Mum's birthday.
$WAGAPINO is inspired by the real experience of growing up between cultures—where tradition isn’t always clear-cut, and identity is something you piece together yourself. Through humour and chaos, we want to tell a story that feels both specific and universal.
We’re passionate about creating a film that:
- Highlights multicultural identity in a fresh, comedic way
- Showcases local voices and talent
- Balances ridiculous humour with genuine heart
