Griffith headed to FTC Robotics World Championship

Griffith HS Robotics success continues. Team 9862 CTRL+ALT+DESTROY, the 2019 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Indiana State Championship alliance winner, has earned an invite to the FTC World Championship in Detroit! One of only four teams representing Indiana, Griffith will compete with over 140 teams from all all over the world. This is an incredible opportunity for Griffith students and the northwest Indiana region.
FTC is way more than just building robots. Robotics team members are preparing for college and career in a most unique and progressive way. Combining wide range of disciplines including mechanical and electrical engineering, computer programming, and communication/sales, high school students are already developing skills that industries so greatly need. Griffith students in this program are ready to make a worldly impact!
But we need your help. Although Griffith Robotics identifies as part of the High School, we are independent and receive no monies directly from the school. Of course, expenses are a concern with purchasing robot parts, motors, gears, computers, tournament fees, and travel expenses. This program is completely financed by sponsorship, fundraisers, and donations and is ran by volunteers. Although the team's success has earned this wonderful opportunity to compete with peers around the globe, it also comes with significant financial burden.
Your donation will directly help the Team 9862 CTRL+ALT+DESTROY make it to the FTC World Championships in Detroit. These students, just like so many involved in FIRST Robotics, are exceptionally bright, hard working, and respectful. Your contribution is certainly a positive investment in our future! Any amount of a contribution is greatly appreciated. Donations $200 and over will earn sponsorship status and your name/company will be added to the side of CADR (CTRL+ALT+DESTROY's Robot).
