Hey everyone!

My name is Griffin, I’m 13 years old, and I have some super exciting news. I qualified for the K-8 U1100 Division of a national chess tournament called SuperNationals VIII in Orlando, Florida May 9-11.

I’ve been working really hard at chess. I won 8th grade for the state of Idaho both regional and state scholastics tournaments! And it’s something I truly love. I practice a ton, studying 10 hours a week on average, and I’ve won some pretty tough games. Now, I’ve got the chance to play against some of the best players in the country, and I really want to go. This would give me the chance to do something I have never done before which is compete at national level.

But… Here's the tricky part: going from Idaho to Orlando is not cheap. Between the flights, hotel, food, and tournament fees, it adds up fast. That’s why I’m trying to raise $1,000 to help cover the cost and make this dream come true.

This tournament means a lot to me. It’s not just a competition, it's a huge opportunity to grow, learn, and represent where I’m from. If you’re able to donate anything, even a few dollars it would seriously mean a lot.
