Starting this Gofundme to help offset medical costs incurred by our dear friends Ethan and Lauren who are fighting for their precious 5 year old black lab Griffey’s life.
Griffey was diagnosed with kidney disease and is currently in the initial stages of a 2-4 week stay at UF Shands Vet Hospital.
Ethan and Lauren adopted Griffey 5 years ago, almost to the day (8/21). He is a loving, beautiful boy that makes their hearts so full (and anyone who meets him for what it’s worth). He has a little (borderline-anarchist) brother, Benji, whom he shows great love and patience for. Just the other day, Benji, sore from his shots, yelped when he laid down. Griffey, who was already feeling sick, immediately sprinted out of the bedroom to check on his baby bro and give him kisses. They love and need each other so much.
Ethan and Lauren are expecting Griffey to be a big brother to their future kids and continue being a big bro to Benji. This is why they’re doing everything in their power to get the best care for Griff. Veterinarian bills can be exorbitant, especially for an extended stay with extensive treatment. Let’s help support Lauren and Ethan as they continue this fight.
