Shalome is a mother of four. One of these four happens to be my best friend. I've been watching from a distance the challenges that this woman has been through. Shalome has been failed by this fucked up system time and time again,  faced with much more than just the struggles of single mother hood.  This past year has brought Shalome devastation, not only due to being in and out of her retail job with little to no support from the government, but due to the Passing of her Father who was been diagnosed with COVID-19 just a few weeks ago. With no other support system available, Shalome had to step in to be a support for her step mother, and take care of her Dad in his final days. 

Shalome now is in the Hospital with COVID-19 due to the lack of support with in this sad excuse of a society, and the lack of means & resources. She does not deserve to be here.  It breaks my heart to be on the outside of this and watch a woman and family I love that has accepted me into their life go through this unmanageable time. 

I want to take the stress of bills, grocery's, mortgage, and missed work hours off the table for Shalome and her Family. I want this woman to have the time to grieve and get the help she deserves & needs with out having to run back into a job that barley supports her.  I need the help and support of people that are able to spare anything. 

This is another Black Woman's life who has been affected by systemic racism.
Who has been failed, unsupported and unseen. 

Its time to pour love into this woman.
