Take a moment to reflect on your day so far. Maybe you went to work, maybe you're in school. Imagine that day being interrupted by a category 5 hurricane with harsh winds. Imagine your house is not strong enough to hold up the wind and the rain, and overtime all you have is washed away... desperate you look up only to realize that this devestation is all around you.

Early October 2016, hurricane Matthew left damages from the Caribbean to parts of the United States. Haiti was a victim of this storm, and is still feeling its sting.

I am an alumni of Morgan State University's Public Health Masters Program in Baltimore Maryland. During this program, in had an internship at a non profit called Generation of Hope (GoHaiti,) in Port Au Prince Haiti. Since then I have joined the Morgan State University team that is affiliated with GoHaiti and I have been apart of many projects with my team, to help GoHaiti. Franco Jean-Louis MD, the founder of GoHaiti, is a compassionate man of great faith who works very hard to build and improve communities all over Haiti. He is also a dear friend of mine.

Due to thousands dead and homeless, my team and I at Morgan State University have partnered yet again with the diligent non profit in Haiti: Generations of Hope (GoHaiti). Since Hurricane Matthew struck, we've been collecting donations from food and clothing to toiletries, to water purifiers and more.

We are gracious for all we have collected, but these items are no good until they are as SHIPPED to Haiti! We will be taking the donations items, as well as the shipping money raised here on Gofundme, to Pennsylvania. There, Pastor Richardson from Deliverance Evangelistic Church will lead the packing of the items to be shipped by boat from Pennsylvania to Port Au Prince on the weekend of December 10th 2016.

I will take the Gofundme donations in person with  Morgan State Team to drop off the donations to be shipped, and pay for the shipping of the collected items. Dr. Franco Jean-Louis will be shipping more items in Miami Florida where he lives. I am withdrawaling the Gofundme funds under my name to pay for the shipping directly with the consent of Dr. Franco Jean-Louis.
