Grief Support for Melissa

Very recently, our dear and amazing friend, Steve Allen unexpectedly passed away.

Steve had an amazing ability of creating a unique bond with each of his friends, that will forever leave a Steve-Shaped hole in our hearts.

The amount of loss we each feel for him, pales in comparison of the loss of his young wife, Melissa, who has lost the love of her life, her best friend, confidant, her forever partner.

This fundraiser is for her.

Only a few of us know the death of a spouse, and the rest of us can't even imagine without falling to tears. 

Most of us have offered condolences and "what can I do".

We want to help you help her, and show love and support for her.

Her grief will likely be long and remain fresh for quite some time, and most of us know, the daily and mundane will be overlooked.

So, we want to provide her with a weekly maid service to take care of these tasks, for as long as possible.

Its not the grandest of gestures to give, nor a very fulfilling condolence gift, but her closest friends do think that it would be the most meaningful and needed gift we could give to show her our love. We want her to be able to to work out her grief how she needs to without feeling the guilt of having a messy home.

The initial asking amount is 6 months of service, tips, and Go Fund Me's service fees.

If for some reason that amount is exceeded, this will become Melissa's to do as she pleases, whether it be continued self-care, or household expenses. We know Melissa, she will probably pay it forward, as she has over and over through out the years for friends, strangers, and animals in need.

She is one of our most charitable and giving friends. This is how we decided to finally give back to her.
