Greystone Preparatory School is a Civilian Service Academy Preparatory School whose goal is to inspire and prepare future Cadets and Midshipmen for excellence at their respective Academies. Greystone assists young men and women who desire to serve their country as commissioned officers in the US military. Located on the beautiful campus of the University of the Ozarks, students focus on academics, leadership, time management, Honor, and athletics. After attending Greystone, students move to one of the five federal Service Academies, ROTC, PLC, OCS and other commissioning sources.
Greystone is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and as such, any donations or contributions provided to Greystone can be utilized as a tax deduction. 100% of all donations will go directly to the Greystone Class of 2021 to be utilized in Class planned and organized events.
The Greystone Class of 2021 is raising money to support our educational and training endeavors as we work to earn our Academy Appointments. Our class requires funds to make the most out of our time here at the University of the Ozarks, and any donation will help make an impact on our class and fully go toward the enrichment of our team.
Our planned training and education events are designed to further prepare us for our time at the Academy and future military careers. Not only does the Greystone Class of 2021 want to advance ourselves toward our goals, but we want to have fun and build team morale while doing it! From the list below, any donation can be assigned directly to benefit one or more specific events, or go directly to our general fund.
Fun Gun trip to the Shooting Range (Spring Semester)
Learning how to operate, clean, and shoot firearms is essential to our career in the military. The Class plans to go to a shooting range in the spring where we will be (hands-on) trained on the operation of firearms that we will be using in the military.
Paintball
As Army ROTC members at Arkansas Tech University, the Class has learned battlefield techniques such as individual and group movement, tactical combat casualty care, and shooting techniques that we plan to put into action through simulated (paintball) battles.
Survival Training Campouts
The Class wants to take advantage of our year here in the “Nature State”: Arkansas. Camping has been a fun way to get out of our routine for a break and decompress. The Class plans to create an “off-the-grid” camping weekend by building our own shelters, cooking our own food (as much as possible), creating raw fire, and most importantly ditching our electronics.
Kayaking/Canoeing
Those attending the US Naval Academy will be spending significant amounts of time on boats. The Class desires to partake in water sports in order to start our maritime training and have a fun outing while doing so!
BBQ Parties
Our, all too rare, weekend BBQ parties are our fun way to escape from the everyday routine. The Class cooks burgers and hot dogs, and we enjoy the time away from campus. Team BBQ’s are partially supported by our campus meal plans, but we enjoy including additional food items when we get the chance!
New Greystone PT Shirts
The Greystone Class wants to purchase new and additional PT T-shirts and sweatshirts for our use, and the use of future Greystone Classes.
Greystone Preparatory School Mission Statement:
To prepare students academically, physically, and ethically to qualify and succeed at the Coast Guard, Air Force, Military, Merchant Marine, or Naval Academy. Also to provide students with the oversight, structure, and organization to empower them to earn their appointment to the Federal Service Academies.
We truly appreciate your donation to the Greystone Class of 2021 fund.
With Gratitude,
The Greystone Preparatory School Class of 2021
