Hi all!

So I wanted to put off making this fundraiser as long as I could because I tried to sort things out myself, but due to Universal Credit not taking action and not providing support they're supposed to, I'm having to take things into my own hands.

I was unfairly dismissed from my job on the 7th of July and have so far had no luck in finding other work that can work around my disability. I've applied for Universal Credit but due to clerical errors with my previous employer - I will not be receiving the amount of money I am entitled to to be able to pay my bills and living costs this month.

My rent is due by the 20th of September so my aim is to have at least the £660 for that raised by then, anything else would be a luxury. As many of you know, I also have a kitten who I've put costs in the breakdown for too to make sure he has everything he needs.

I've provided a breakdown of all of these costs:

Housing costs

Rent - £545

Bills - £115

Cat costs

Cat food - £21

Vet fees - £15

Personal costs

Groceries - £50

Phone bill - £10

My main goal is to cover my housing costs, but I've set the goal slightly higher to cover the rest of my living costs and give me a small buffer of about £40 in case of emergencies.
