When three Lincoln Park Academy alumni got together to create a scholarship they decided to create something that would acknowledge the many paths to success. As proud alumni who received a strong educational foundation from one of the top high schools in Florida they knew that success takes more. It takes mentorship, time, effort and money.
So the Greyhound Pride Scholarship was created - a scholarship that can be awarded to an LPA student going to college, a trade school or starting a business. The student, who must meet all of the criteria below, will be awarded a $2500 scholarship and receive mentorship.
Your support of this GoFundMe, whether big or small, will directly impact a young person and their journey on the road to success!
About the Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by an all-female group of proud Greyhound alumni who believe success comes in many forms. While we will consider awarding the scholarship to college bound students, we are also interested in supporting a student who has alternative plans, i.e. to start a business or attend a trade school to get a license or certificate. We are open to awarding the scholarship to the recipient directly if the circumstances dictate , i.e. money to be used towards supplies for a new business, rather than directly to a trade school or college.
Scholarship Qualifications:
· 2.75 GPA
· Black female
