Funeral & Family Expenses

Gregory Aaron Phillips was a son, brother, uncle, husband, father and more... He was born on August 1,1969 in Racine and called to our Lord on November 9,2016- far too soon by our account.
For those of you who knew my brother, I wanted to let you know that he unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. It is shocking, heartbreaking and utterly the worst phone call I have ever received. This is his family ( I am on a computer that doesn't have a current family photo ). He was seriously the most amazing father ! I mean hands on, loving and nurturing but also a teacher of responsibility, manners and respect. His children, my nieces and nephew are beautiful and honestly you have never seen such well behaved children in public before, I promise that ! His oldest is married and has a daughter of her own. He was a Grandfather, just a cuddly bear. My brother married the most amazing woman you can imagine. He loves her so very much ! He was a thoughtful and loving husband who would really do anything to see his wife smile. As far as being a brother goes, I couldn't have asked for better ! We grew up together even though I was the annoying tag along, he taught me to hunt, fish, play baseball and more ! I learned a lot from Greg.

Let me tell you, this guy was a real man ! He was a hunter, a fisherman and woodworker. He cooked and cleaned, coached his children in sports and was so proud of them ! The cooking part ? You could always count on an amazing meal if Greg was around ! He baked and made pies from scratch. He would fix small engines for extra money and when times were good he thought of his family and his wife before himself. He was a leader because leaders put themselves last and I learned that from him too.

Greg, you will be missed by so many ! Your friends, family and loved ones will be thinking of you often. We are left with reminders of your zest for life through your children and grandchildren ( yes, one more on the way ) ! We stand with your wonderful wife and want you to know that we've got this, just like you'd have for any of us.

We are raising funds for funeral expenses and for his family, as this is obviously quite unexpected. Amanda, his wife has the burden of a funeral and caring for her children without the help of my brother. My husband and I are helping as much as we possibly can, but our whole family has been stricken with tragedy after tragedy all within 4 months, making it difficult for us to provide as much as we normally would. Amanda is careful and frugal and such an amazing, loving and caring mother !
It would mean the world to me if you could help. I am not one to ask for help in fact, I'm usually the one helping ! Even like $5 from each of my friends would be so helpful and mean the world to me. Greg wasn't rich in money but rich in love- he DID give what he had to others AND always put his family and others before himself, so I humbly ask for any donation you are willing to give.
