Greg’s Medical and Personal Expenses
Hi Family and Friends.
As most of you know Greg was hospitalized in March for COVID-19, pneumonia and a blood clot. As a brain cancer survivor this virus hit him hard and two months later he is still recovering. He has used up all his PTO and has not been receiving a paycheck or disability since end of March. He’s pulled money from his savings, but as a Direct Support Professional working with disabled adults his hourly pay rate was less than $12/ hour and therefore his savings are not robust. He has continuing medical expenses in his recovery along with his standard living expenses which are still due. He has gotten some relief on some of his expenses, but we are not sure when he will return to work. He’s still on oxygen while active and during sleep along with a blood thinner. His left hand has always given him problems since the craniotomy but now he has limited dexterity and constant shaking since the virus.
Greg is a good man, father and partner. Most of you have felt his goodness, friendship and support over the years. This illness, recovery and financial constraints have him anxious and frustrated to say the least. Right now, he needs to heal, recover and get back to as close of a life as he had before this virus.
If you have anything to spare and if you do or do not please keep him in your prayers. I am not telling him that this is being requested, he would rather keep this to himself but I’m truly and deeply concerned of how his financial stress is affecting his healing and recovery.
I love you all, he loves you all, we are blessed with the best tribe.
