Support for Mackenzie after losing her father
Donation protected
My name is Steffanie, and I am the older sister of Mackenzie. Mackenzie is 11 years old, attends St. Joachim School, and dreams of becoming a marine biologist. She is so sweet, so smart, and just a kid who is now facing the unimaginable grieving the loss of her father, Greg Bonogofsky.
On Friday, February 28th, Greg was parked in his car, waiting for his daughter, when he was found unresponsive. The moment my sister received the heartbreaking news is something I will never forget.
Greg’s greatest priority in life was teaching Kenzie the importance of education. As an Occupational Therapist, he valued learning and always encouraged her to strive for knowledge. He attended Catholic school as a child and was incredibly proud that Kenzie was following in his footsteps at a school she loves so dearly. Above all, he wanted her to know God. Even in her grief, she found comfort in saying, “My dad is in heaven now.”
I can’t begin to imagine the pain of losing a parent—let alone experiencing it as a child. I am starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden of Greg’s funeral expenses and ensure he is laid to rest as he deserves. Additionally, I hope to honor Greg’s legacy by putting any remaining funds toward Mackenzie’s future education, something he cared about so deeply.
Any contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. Please keep Kenzie in your prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you.
