Greg's Legacy: Ashlynn's Education Fund
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gregory "Greg" Scott Runnels, who was called home Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, in-law and friend to so many of us who grieve his passing. Greg was our light, shoulder, confidante, mentor, and so much more. He was always quick to share a laugh, or an animated story about what happened to him that day, or cheer for his beloved Steelers...unless they were losing, then it was best to leave him be!
Greg was fiercely loyal to his many friends and family, but most especially to the love of his life, Alicia, and his children, Richard, Lauren and Ashlynn. Greg adored them and would do anything for them.
Which is why we are writing this post, to help Alicia as she continues on her own to support Ashlynn’s college aspirations.
Ashlynn is currently a Sophomore at Clark College in Washington State where she has started on the Penguins’ Women's Softball team each year, much to Greg's delight. Not much made him happier than to watch her compete. This spring, Ashlynn will earn her Associate’s Degree and then transfer across the country to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she will pursue her Bachelor's degree.
This school was the last decision Greg helped her make. We hope to help Alicia fulfill this last dream by asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ashlynn's College Fund. Any assistance for her future tuition to help bridge the gap left by her father's absence would be greatly appreciated by the family.
On behalf of Alicia, Ashlynn, Richard and Lauren, thank you.
