In January 2013, Greg Kay came down with a mysterious flu-like illness. What initially seemed like a passing sickness has become a decade-long progression of symptoms including chronic fatigue, weakness, pain, brain fog, and more. He has been unable to work since the fall of 2013, and a man who hiked the Grand Canyon in 2012 now needs a wheelchair when leaving the house. Greg has received a variety of treatments over the past decade in an attempt to understand his illness and treat it, but nothing has brought lasting positive change. While he has received a few diagnoses, including Lyme Disease, Chronic Fatigue, and Post-Exertional Malaise, they have not led to significant improvement through treatment.

Recently, Greg learned of the existence of the Metrodora Institute, which specializes in the care of patients with chronic illnesses similar to what Greg has experienced. Their approach is unique in that they involve a team of doctors with different specialties to ensure that a patient's care is holistic rather than focusing on a single symptom or part of the body. This is a promising opportunity for answers and a plan of treatment for people like Greg who have suffered through years of partial solutions and missed diagnoses.

Unfortunately, the Metrodora Clinic does not take Greg's insurance, and they are located in Salt Lake City, Utah. In order to enable Greg to take advantage of this valuable new resource, he will need to spend a significant amount of money out of pocket to cover the diagnoses, treatment, and travel costs. We are asking for your support to help Greg get to the Metrodora Institute, where a chance for real answers, real treatment, and real hope await.
