Greg's Bipolar Fight: A Family in Need

My name is Greg Henderson, and I am usually a fun-loving guy who loves to love. However, the last several years have been extremely difficult for me and my family since I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 with Schizoaffective (no, I don't hear voices; it's more of an internal dialogue that I know isn't my own). I've been doing my best to manage my disability along with other diagnoses: Anhedonia, Dysthymia (lack of pleasure in all things, even music!), and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which keeps me way too sedentary day to day. There are also undiagnosed issues that I am seeing doctors for as well.

It seems once I was first diagnosed with Bipolar, several other comorbid symptoms arose shortly after, and they can be really tough to manage if I'm being honest. Bipolar alone during mania has caused me to lose 3 amazing jobs in the last 4 years, and I am currently out of work right now searching for jobs. It has to be a desk job due to my MECFS, which I am used to working in Information Technology. I have insurance, but between counseling, psychiatrists, referral after referral, and my medications that I take daily, it far from covers everything. I hope to return to work soon.

I ask if nothing else, you share this post to help raise awareness for those suffering from mental illness, in my case especially Bipolar 1 with Schizoaffective, as it has caused the most damage in mine and my family's lives. Anything else you can spare is so very much appreciated. The money will go to help with living expenses, medical bills, and copays, and maybe a trip to the water park on a good day, lol.
