Gregory Tracy, dear friend, loving husband, and "the best papa" ever according to his grand children is fighting the good fight against cancer.
A few short weeks ago after a trip to the Doctor and thorough assessment in the days following, it was discovered that Greg has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This revelation came as a shock to his beloved, Rosie and his family. Since, Greg and Rosie have been quick to take the fight head on. Currently, Greg is undergoing chemotherapy at Northwestern Hospital near Chicago and is awaiting approval for experimental treatment as well.
While Greg & Rosie are bolstered by their own strong wills, their faith, and their encouraging and supportive families & friends, there is still an intense road to recovery ahead.Because of the stage and accelerated nature of this cancer their medical team is acting aggressively and Greg will be in care for several weeks at a time. Fortunately, if you know Greg, you know his resilience and the beauty of his humor and perspective on life... and if you know Rosie you know the beauty of her love for Greg and that together they can take on anything.
In times of illness, it can be difficult to know how to help. There will be a benefit held locally May 14th and we will attach details for that event as soon as they are complete. In the meantime, if you are unable to make the benefit or would like to help in another way we have started this page so that those who would like to can show their support of this hardworking, lovable, and funny family man and his sweetheart as they face this fight.
The funds from this page will go directly to help Greg & Rosie manage the expenses that often come along with complex medical care. Additionally, please leave a note, prayer, or word of encouragement with your donation if you feel compelled....or even a good joke, we all know Greg loves a good laugh and rest assured even through this time of difficulty, laughter and love have been shared with Greg and between the members of his family.
This page will continue to be updated as more information on Greg's treatment and progress becomes made available. It is with warmth and a big hug that Greg and his family thank you for your support during this time.
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. Isaiah 40:31
