I don’t even really know where to start with this, but I’m going to try to explain our family and why we’re asking for help right now. My family has been through a lot of obstacles over the years, more than most people ever see from the outside. We’ve had loss, hard seasons, and moments that completely changed us. But through all of it, we’ve always tried to stay close and hold each other up the best we could.
Right now, my uncle Grayln is in a critical place medically. Things are not good, and our family is facing decisions we never wanted to have to face. It’s heavy on all of us in ways I can’t even fully put into words. To understand why this hurts so much, you have to understand what my family is. We’ve never really been the “typical” immediate circle people talk about. My mom and dad also went through the unimaginable loss of an infant, and that pain has stayed with our family in ways you never fully heal from. Over the years, our circle has been built around survival and staying connected through grief and love.
My uncle Grayln and my dad have really been the backbone of everything for a long time. When we lost my aunt Suzanne and then my pawpaw not long after, it felt like the foundation got even smaller… but somehow we still tried to keep going for each other. My dad, mom, my cousins Jessie and Lee, Kelia and Brandi and my brother, all of us have just been doing our best to keep moving forward while staying together through everything life has thrown at us. Now we’re at a point where we need support. A GoFundMe has been set up in Jessie and my dad’s name to help with the expenses we’re facing right now and what’s ahead. If you can pray, please pray for my uncle and our family. If you can share, that helps more than people realize. And if you can give, we are truly grateful beyond words. Life has not been easy for us… but we’re still standing together through it all.
We just want to say that this has honestly been a blessing in disguise. My daddy can’t express how thankful he truly is. The amount that has been received for Grayln is truly a blessing. Thank yall so so much! We love each and everyone of you. We continue to pray for my family and we go through this difficult time.
