My name is Jenelle and my mom Juliet Griffith-Orosco has offered to host this GoFundMe on our behalf. My husband Gregory Allum was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer on March 11, 2021 at the relatively young age of 44 and it's one of the reasons this diagnosis is unfathomable but the reality is cancer can happen to anyone, at anytime.
Gregory's cancer is aggressive since it has spread to several bones in his body, one crucial area being the skull where a tumor is compressing his 6th optic nerve and affecting his vision. As a result, doctors recommended that treatment be started immediately, so he has started chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Although, insurance is covering a portion of the cost, the financial burden is still heavy to pay for his portion of the treatment, medication, lifestyle changes and monitoring medical examinations such as blood tests, CT scans and MRIs to determine the effectiveness of the treatment.
Gregory is a self-less, easy going, generous and considerate person who was always passionate about his family and football, and those who know him can attest to this.
Like each of us, he desires to live a long, happy, healthy, prosperous life with his family.
