Gregoria Duarte

Gregoria Duarte was and is loved by her Husband, children, and sisters, and grandchildren. She meant the world to her family. Gregoria became an angel on the eve of 11/16/2020. She was a child of God and mother and friend to all. Gregoria was lovingly called Moya by her grandchildren. Moya helped raise all of her children’s children. She would care for anyone that was in need. She gave to those less fortunate and eased the burdens of others. She was the strong matriarch of the who would always put her family’s needs first.  My grandmother, Moya, had a beautiful voice and would sing on special occasions when her husband Heriberto Duarte would play his guitar. They would sing Spanish love songs and sure draw a crowd. My favorite memory is when we would get together for the holidays and one time we went out in the cold to see a giant Christmas tree. The tree was gigantic and looked so pretty covered in white lights. We bought hot elote from a street vendor and continued to walk and share stories. Laughing and trying to stay warm, the family was happiest when we were with her. Moya loved sharing stories, laughing and loving. My family and I are asking for your kindness from the bottom of our hearts. We need help and support getting funds for her aftercare.
