Greg Golliver

Greg has taught at Benson Hill Elementary in Renton, WA for 8 years!  He inspires his students daily by using questioning techniques, technology and modeling flexibility.  He is also a leader within his grade level; constantly advocating for teacher rights and policies that benefit the entire school.  Additionally he was recognized by the school and PTA as being an Outstanding Educator.  His constant support of the PTA and family involvement help bridge the relationship between school and families.

Greg and his family have been privately dealing with some challenges throughout the past few months.  Due to miscommunication and misinformation, Greg's teaching certificate expired and he will not be able to teach in a public school next year.   On top of this,  his family's house caught on fire and all belongings in the garage, attic, 4 rooms and 2 cars were destroyed (including everything from his classroom).  His family, including this dog, Hanford, are living in a hotel.  

Greg is looking for other jobs in education and is working with insurance to rebuild his family's house.  However much has been lost and anxiety is high.  Greg has given an incredible amount to our community.  If you are able, please consider giving back.
