Gregg (with 3 g's), one of the toughest things about losing you from this Earth, is that you were a constant not only to me, but so sooo many others.  A forever friend!  Fiercely loyal, protective, and true.  To me you will always be my high school sweet heart, a Yankees loving, Bone thugs in harmony blasting, 360 maniac driving, bear hugging, karaoke singing, and bizarre story teller.  These are just a few gems of your quality as an amazing human being.

When I received the news of your passing, the oddest memory came back to me... my inner voice said "Oh Gregg," but then I heard your dearly departed and sweet fathers voice say the same, but with his usual addition of the lords name ("Jesus Christ Gregg").  To his credit, you needed a lot of reprimanding.  The trouble we made for that man, bless his soul!  You were totally incorrigible and can't deny this as a hole punching wrestler, enjoying those brotherly love squabbles, bleaching your hair blonde, concert hopping, angst filled wild child.  But hey, weren't we all our own forms of rebellious teenager+

Well, glad we got that all out of our systems... ;) by enrolling for college at the Western Connecticut State University in 1998.  Here, you joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity (In hoc) and made some truly equally outstanding brothers.  Soon after going on to finish your basic training for the Reserves with a concentration in Military Police.  In 2000, you decided to transfer to Combat Engineer for the Army National Guard, later to become activated in October 2005 as Infantry for an order to Afghanistan.

Your hearty laugh was infectious and I am glad that you were there to soothe and provide the "Gregg Taylor special" of hilarity for some of the brave soldiers serving.  I am sorry that it caused you to have PTSD, in addition to your demons and the sadness carried from the loss of your mother at such a young age of 16.  I know she meant the world to you.

Your calling was always to teach, just as she did, and that you did my friend!  Working with the students of Danbury High School and volunteering your time with the Air Force Junior Reserve Office Training Corps (AFJROTC).

We send you all the peace, love, and light on your new adventure and hope that you connect with your parents in that beautiful sky above.  xo, one of your fans, Steph
