In early July, Greg discovered he has gastric/stomach cancer which has spread to his esophagus and surrounding lymph nodes. On July 17th he had laparoscopic surgery and had a port and J-tube placed in his small intestine to give him additional nourishment. Greg started 8 weeks of chemotherapy on July 25th.
I am asking for Greg and Angela's family, friends, and believers in Christ to be praying relentlessly for the treatments to be effective. Thank you for your support for Greg, Angela and their two precious daughters. Would you help the Deeke family with Greg's medical expenses? He will need costly medical treatment to include chemo and surgeries.
We know that God is in control and we are victorious in Christ. Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid, for I am with you! Don't be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you - I uphold you with my saving right hand!"
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
