Our brother, Greg Munda, had a massive ischemic cerebral stroke on July 13th. An ischemic cerebral stroke is caused by a blockage in an artery within the brain, usually by a blood clot. The doctors don’t know exactly what caused his stroke as of yet. He is currently in the ICU in CRITICAL condition being treated for brain swelling. We still don’t know what the outlook is but we are praying for a miracle. He is in the Intensive Care Unit at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Hollywood, CA.
Greg works in the technical side of the entertainment industry doing digital distribution for a lot of the movies you see streaming. Although he doesn’t have kids of his own, he makes it a point to spoil his nephew and nieces at every chance he gets, always giving them the best presents. When he’s not working he spends his spare time cosplaying as a ghostbuster for Hollywood Ghostbusters at charity events and conventions. He is known as the genius in the family and has made appearances on Win Ben Stein's Money and Jeopardy.
We have started this GoFundMe Campaign as a family to help with medical expenses and recovery costs. We anticipate his long-term medical expenses will surpass our initial financial goal. But we are hopeful that this campaign will alleviate some of his financial burden so he can recover with minimal stress.
Thank you for all your support and prayers. We will keep you posted on his progress through notifications on this page. Please check back often and share with your friends and family on social media and via email. The more people who know about Greg’s situation, the more prayers will his way. We know Greg is a fighter and God has a plan.
