Greg' s Medical Expenses Fund

My name is Breanna, I’m 16 and an only child. The two most important people in my life are my mum Cheryl and my dad Greg. On 23 December 2016 my dad was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. This is devastating for my family. We were told that dad may have a chance at beating this and fought to stay positive as he faced the prospect of chemo treatment. At 6:00 am on New Year’s day dad was struggling to breathe and was taken to hospital. During his 10 day stay  we were given further bad news. The Squamous Cell Carcinoma had changed and was now at stage 4. That is when my whole world changed and I was told that my mentor and best friend, my dad, had 12 months at best. Unfortunately the chemotherapy has not been successful. The oncologist has now switched him to an immunotherapy regime. This treatment is potentially very successful, with good results in similar cases.



My dad is no longer able to do everyday activities and can no longer work. This has put a  lot of strain on all of us. Mum is struggling with his prognosis while running the household with only one income to upkeep the mortgage, bills, car expenses and running back and forth from the hospital. My wishes are to lessen our financial stress so we can focus on supporting dad and each other. Our $20,000 goal is to cover expenses associated with his treatments.
