As most of you know Greg has fallen very ill. Due to being so sick for months, multiple ER visits, fatigue, he has lost his job as well. Greg gave many years to this employer, many holidays, as well as family events were sacrificed to this company, and they conveniently let him go after being in the ER all night.

Greg became ill in July of 2021 with a cold. He was tested for Covid which was negative. But this illness made him very ill and he never really recovered. He then struggled with unexplained back pain, fatigue and shortness of breath, lethargy, forgetfulness, and confusion.

The fatigue, shortness of breath and lethargy landed him in the ER several week ago. Unfortunately, it was blamed on his Iron deficiency anemia with no real answers. While his Iron was very low, many of us felt this was not the answer. He followed up with primary care and did receive an outpatient Iron infusion. This did not help his symptoms.

On 10/10/21 Thankfully, due to Angie’s attentiveness she observed Greg breathing very fast while sleeping. (52 RR, normal is about 16 RR) Angie then checked his oxygen which revealed 84%. (Normal is above 90%) Angie called an ambulance which stabilized him and then he was able to be transported to the ER via private car.

It is now 10/12/21, after many tests we have a answer. They have found that Greg has Endocarditis. Endocarditis is a life-threatening inflammation of the inner lining of your heart's chambers and valves. Due to this severe infection Greg will need to undergo Open heart surgery tomorrow 10/13/21. He has been transferred via ambulance to St. Luke’s Boise. Greg is fighting hard, and Angie is by his side, her job that she has recently started, has been gracious in allowing her to be with Greg. Greg is walking a very close of septic (blood infection) while waiting for his surgery. He may need to be rushed into an emergency surgery in the coming hours if he cannot sustain adequate blood pressures to perfuse his organs.

Here is where you come in, I am looking to raise some money to help ease the financial burden for Greg and Angie. The hospital, ambulance, surgeon, radiologist, cardiac specialist, etc. bills will be astronomical. But for now, during this acute crisis, I would like to assist in taking the burden of day-to-day expenses off the mind of Greg and Angie.

If everyone even just gave $5.00, it would make a difference. If you cannot give, then please share. I will be updating as I can. If you would like to contirbute via venmo Angies Venmo is : Angie-Purvis-1
