We are heartbroken and devastated to share that the Machann family home, in which Greg Machann resided, was completely lost in a fire that occurred the evening of April 10, 2022. The house was deemed a total loss, so my father Greg is left with absolutely nothing as a result.

We have started this GoFundMe to help cover the initial costs for my father Greg to rebuild his life from the ground up. He has absolutely nothing from the home any more - no clothes, no belongings whatsoever, so these funds will provide for him as he begins to piece everything back together in the upcoming days, weeks, and months.

 

To give some context and background, this home was built by Greg Machann's parents, Eddie and Edna Machann, in the 1970's and has housed an immeasurable amount of memories for our entire family throughout the years. After our sweet Paw Paw Eddie passed, my father, Greg, took over the family home where he became the primary caretaker of our Maw Maw Edna for a span of 12 + years. Edna went to be with her husband in Heaven just two months ago, leaving my father, the home and all of their belongings just as they have sat for the last 50 years.

 

Losing this home is more than just losing a house. This home was essentially a time capsule filled with all of the sentimental belongings my grandparents collected over a span of 50 years, as well as every single thing my father Greg owned and cared for. Albums, family heirlooms and collectables, furniture, clothing, jewelry, keepsakes, all of it is now completely gone. 

We appreciate any and every single amount that is donated to him through this page, as well as any other supplies or aide offered during this time. If you know Greg Machann, you know that he is one of the most giving, loving, selfless, amazing human beings. We are beyond grateful for his safety and protection, and for the ability to move forward in life with him. He means everything to us.
